Inoltre è un fatto certo che il corpo catabolizza le proteine muscolari e le usa a scopi energetici durante l'aerobica, ma in ogni caso è in un continuo processo di catabolismo e anabolismo. Il processo si chiama "turnover proteico" ed è un fatto normale che avviene tutti i giorni.
